What Happens When You Die? What Do You Think?

Heres my view on death

I think that when we die, whatever we were in life, disappears. Only what we accomplished, and left behind, remains. When the body dies, the immortal soul is "washed clean." I think that in order for any living thing to exist, it must possess a soul, or immortal spirit. This supernatural being, can only exist within the confines of a living creature. The force that drives the evolution of living things is this soul. There are so many souls trying to become as we are, that they will do everything that they can to live. that's why there is so much diversity of life here on earth.

As for heaven and hell, I think that it is real, and right here on earth. There must be some form of government in the spiritual plane. That's where angels come in. Perhaps they are the police of the spirits. Hell is possibly denial of life. Or maybe a life sentence of pain, right here on earth. Heaven, is the ultimate goal of spirits; to be a free, and beautiful form of life.

What do you think?

This hub is a question. It Probably belongs in the forums. I am curious about what others think about this subject. Everyone seems to think that death is not the end however, they do not agree. You are absolutely right Timetraveler. I guess I will know one day. Or maybe I won't.

You're skewing a few religions here.

If every soul, (read: supernatural being), is washed clean after they die; if every soul (read: supernatural being within something living) has to have a terrestrial formation on the earth, well then, why in God's name would any ONE of them choose Hell! ("Hell is possibly denial of life"), as opposed to "Heaven" ("a beautiful and free form of life")? What free, newly washed soul would pick up life on earth just to find condemnation to a sentence of pain? Because if your soul is washed clean, then why are you sentenced to hell, exactly?

(I'd be an orchid pollinator)

Maybe Angel-police choose the condemnation of humans.

Maybe "Angels" know more than we can when it comes to morality, because they've never been granted it...what you can never genuinely feel is what you crave until you die.

That which we teach our children cements what generations exalt as absolute truths.

I agree to some degree. I don't believe in an afterlife but I hope I leave good memories of me behind. Interesting hub!
